What Peptide Therapy at Balance Gives You

Maybe this sounds like you:

  • You've spent years looking after everyone else, and you're ready for some of that care to be yours.
  • Your weight has shifted, what used to work doesn't anymore, and you want to understand why.
  • Peptides keep coming up, and you can't tell what's true.

Hetal knows that feeling. After her second child, she found herself lost, and slowly rebuilt herself through nutrition, fitness, and self-care.

She calls it #FindingMeAgain, and it's why we care so much about supporting the body from within.

Peptides are short chains of amino acids, the building blocks of protein, and they act as signals between cells.

You could order peptides online tonight. Many are sold as "research" products, labeled not for human use, with no one looking at your health first.

Here, you start with a conversation with Hetal, and that's all it has to be. Some people leave with peptides in their plan. Others leave knowing medical weight loss, nutrition coaching, or hormone care is the better place to start.

Either way, here's what you can count on:

  • A plan built around your goal, with peptides only where they fit beside your other care
  • One clinician who knows your whole picture, from hormones to nutrition
  • No pressure, and a team that checks in after visits
  • Honest guidance first, including what each peptide involves and its status

What Will Your First Peptide Therapy Visit Look Like?

Starting at our Brandon office takes four steps:

  1. It starts with a call or an online booking.
  2. Next comes a health questionnaire. Hetal reads it herself, so she knows your health before she plans anything.
  3. Then you and Hetal talk about what brought you here and why now.
  4. And you leave knowing whether peptides fit. If they do, Hetal explains which she'd use, how they're given, and for how long. If not, she says so and talks through what else might fit.
“She took her time and listened to my current lifestyle. Then she made suggestions that were realistic, affordable and attainable long term!”

How Hetal Builds a Peptide Plan Around Your Goals

Hetal doesn't start with peptides. She starts with what brought you here, and why now, at this point in your life.

She reads your health questionnaire herself and takes real, unhurried time with your history and your goal. Then she decides with you whether peptides belong in your plan at all.

If they do, they're one piece of it. Hetal believes the best results happen when hormones, wellness, lifestyle, and aesthetics work together, so she plans peptides beside the rest of your care, over time.

If they don't, she'll tell you. To Hetal, that honest conversation matters just as much.

“Hetal takes her time to work with you, understand your needs, and works to put together a plan to achieve your goals.”

How Peptides Fit Into a Plan at Our Brandon Practice

Here, peptides are never a stand-alone protocol. Hetal combines treatments over time, because results come from several things working together.

So your plan starts with the goal you bring. Hetal plans peptides around goals like these:

Healthy aging and your skin, with peptides for healthy aging and skin

Hormone care, with hormone replacement therapy as part of the same plan

Balance provider seated in the lounge

Learn About the Nurse Practitioner Behind Your Plan

Hetal has been a nurse practitioner since 2014, with more than a decade in trauma and primary care. She loved caring for patients, but in corporate medicine she often felt like just another number.

So in 2023 she opened Balance, a place where you'd feel seen and heard, not rushed through.

Today she still runs our hormone care, weight loss, and nutrition coaching herself. With peptides, she's the one who decides whether they fit your plan, and she oversees them.

Are Peptides Safe and FDA-Approved? Peptide Therapy Safety and FDA Status

You deserve a straight answer. For most peptides used for wellness, they aren't FDA-approved. That's exactly why Hetal is careful. Your health questionnaire and history come first, before any plan, and she looks at your own risks with you.

“She never made me feel rushed, went over EVERYTHING in detail, what she recommends, what she doesn't recommend, everything to the tee.”
Falguni P., Google review

Are peptides FDA-approved?

No. The peptides used for wellness goals, such as healthy aging, skin, recovery, or body composition, aren't FDA-approved for those uses.

Many FDA-approved medicines are peptides, but each approval covers that medicine and its own condition, not peptides in general.

Before anything is decided, Hetal takes the time to explain your options and makes sure you understand them.

Who shouldn't use peptides?

Peptides may not be right for you if you:

  • Compete in a drug-tested sport. Many peptides are on the World Anti-Doping Agency's list of substances banned in sport, so check your sport's rules and tell Hetal first.
  • Have had cancer. Researchers have raised concern that some peptides used for wellness may encourage the growth of new blood vessels and abnormal cells, so tell Hetal about any cancer history.
  • Are pregnant, breastfeeding, or trying to become pregnant. There's no safety information for these peptides in pregnancy, so tell Hetal first.

This isn't a complete list. At your first visit you share your full health history, and Hetal decides with you, including whether peptides are off the table.

Common Questions About Peptide Therapy

Are the peptides here the same as the "research peptides" sold online?

No. Peptides sold online as "research" products, often labeled not for human use, aren't meant for people, and sellers marketing them for people have received warning letters. Buying medicine online from unregulated, unlicensed sources can mean a poor-quality product. At Balance, a nurse practitioner looks at your health first, and peptides are only ever one part of a plan she follows with you.

How are peptides given, and would I give myself injections?

Peptide injections are how most peptide medicines are given, because the gut breaks peptides down and absorbs them poorly. A few come in other forms. How the peptides in your plan are given, and whether you'd give them yourself, is decided with Hetal. If injections are part of your plan, she shows you how.

Can I have peptides and hormone therapy at the same time?

Yes. Hetal can plan peptides and hormone replacement therapy together, as parts of one plan over time, since she runs our hormone care herself. Your health questionnaire and history come first, so the plan fits your goal and your health.

Can men have peptide therapy?

Yes. Hetal believes men, too, deserve self-care, and more men are coming to us to look after their health and appearance. The first visit is the same: a conversation about what brought you here and why now, your health history, and an honest answer on whether peptides fit your plan.

What if peptides aren't right for me?

Then Hetal will tell you, and talk through what else might fit your goal. That could be nutrition coaching and medical weight loss, hormone therapy for perimenopause and menopause, or skin treatments. An honest no is part of the care, and waiting is always your choice.

How soon would I notice a difference with peptides?

No one can honestly promise a timeline for the peptides used for wellness, because studies in people are still too few to show one. What you can count on is the follow-up: our team checks in after visits, and you tell Hetal how you're doing along the way.
